Hi Lisa!
Thanks for your awesome podcast. I have been listening for a little while now and always gain something from every episode. The "timing" of this episode was great for me. I recently led a workshop on Integrating the Use of an Interactive Whiteboard in a Primary Classroom for 16 teachers. Unfortunately, I had some significant technical difficulty just before I started, and then another problem as I began. As some colleagues were helping to get my board back to being "interactive", I tried to carry on with the presentation. Everything worked itself out, but I felt a bit drained. As a result, I stopped for a break at a point that wasn't really suitable. If I had followed your advice for having check points in mind, I would have been more aware that it was too soon for a break and kept on going a little longer. It all worked out, as the presentation was well received. Fortunately I knew most of the people attending and they had volunteered to be there. They were all very supportive. Your podcast advice makes me want to fine another chance soon to improve on my speaking skills.
